I’m an English teacher at Patton High School and co-own Upper Creek Angler, a fly-fishing guide and custom tackle service, as well as Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Casting for Hope, a regional non-profit that uses fly fishing to serve women and families affected by ovarian cancer through retreats and financial assistance to stabilize family finances after a diagnosis of cancer. As a life member and vice-president of the local chapter of Trout Unlimited, I’m heavily interested in protecting and conserving the watershed of Lake James and its effect on the Catawba River Tailrace. I’m currently working with the organization to update the organization’s web and social media presence.
