Trout Program

The number of Trout waters streams in our watershed have slightly increased over the last decade. The NC Wildlife Resources Commission monitors the quality of many mountain and foothill streams to insure the waters stay safe for trout health, as well as monitoring habitat areas in private and public regions. The NC WRC monitors and maintains access areas. The NC Wildlife Resources Commission’s Trout Management Plan can be found here.
